
How I Embraced Motherhood While Mourning My Father
I lost my father to a sudden heart attack when I was only 10 weeks pregnant. My pregnancy and impending marriage were all a whirlwind and my dad was so happy for me. Not only was he going to finally become a grandfather at 67, but he was excited to meet my husband. My piece is about the unpredictability of life, how my father’s death influences me every day, and about how to be a better mom to my 3-month-old daughter. We really have to stay present and just enjoy life.
